Glassven was founded in Barquisimeto city, Venezuela, in 1978 and has been Venezuela’s largest manufacturer and market leader in producing Precipitated Silicas, Synthetic Sodium Aluminum Silicates and Sodium Silicates.
Our first plant was located in La Victoria city, where are produced Neutral and Alkaline Sodium Silicates in two different forms: liquid and glass lumps.
Later, the product manufacture lines went: Sodium Metasilicates (Somet-P) and the inorganic glues (Adhosil 240-140).
In order to extend our product basis, Silicate II, located in Barquisimeto city, started operations in 1982 to produce Hydrous Powder Sodium Silicate: Karbosil (KA-2000 and KA-2400) and Glassil (GA and GN).
